Zhi Shuping meets with U.S. Ambassador to China Branstad

  AQSIQ Minister Zhi Shuping met with Mr. Terry Branstad, the U.S. Ambassador to China in Beijing on November 6, 2017. The two sides exchanged views on inspection and quarantine cooperation between the U.S.A and China. After the meeting, Zhi and Branstad signed protocol on sanitary requirements on horse to exported from U.S.A to China, and the protocol on phytosanitary requirements on dry Alfalfa to be exported from the U.S.A. to China.

  Officials from the General Office, Department of Supervision on Animal and Plant Quarantine, Bureau of Import and Export Food Safety and Department of International Cooperation of AQSIQ, and officials from APHIS of USDA, and the Kentucky Commissioner for Agriculture attended the meeting and the signing ceremony.
