Zhi Shuping signs an agreement witnessed by Chinese and Canadian Premiers

Under the witness of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, AQSIQ Minister Zhi Shuping signed with Canadian Ambassador to China John McCallum the MOU on food import and export between AQSIQ and CFIA in the Great Hall of the People on December 4. The MOU specifies the agricultural products that have met the importing country’ quarantine requirements, and bilateral trade could therefore start.

The signing of the MOU is an important outcome of the second annual dialogue between Chinese and Canadian Premiers. It further enriches the Sino-Canadian strategic partnership, will strongly promote the practical cooperation in trade and agriculture between China and Canada, and will further elevate the bilateral economic and trade cooperation level.
