ZHI Shuping signs documents under the witness of the leaders of China and Denmark

  Under the witness of China’s Premier Li Keqiang and Denmark’s Prime Minister Lars L?kke Rasmussen, AQSIQ Minister Zhi Shuping signed with Danish Minister for Environment and Food Mr. Esben Lunde Larsen and Director of the Danish Safety Technology Authority (Sikkerhedsstyrelsen) Mme. Lone Saaby the protocol on sanitary requirments on pork imported from Denmark to China, MOU on cooperation of organic products, and MOU on cooperation in certification and accreditation.  

  Denmark is one of the first western countries to establish diplomatic ties with China, and is the first country in northern Europe to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership with China. China and Denmark have complementary economies, overlapping benefits in agriculture, food safety, healthcare and biotechnology, and high cooperation potential. The two sides have signed over 20 cooperation documents and established cooperation machanisms, which played a positive role for ensuring the quality and safety of products mutally provided and facilitated bilateral trade. The three documents signed this time cover technical cooperation arrangement for ensuring the quality and safety of meat from Denmark, working plans on cooperation in certification of organic products and framework agreement on systematic cooperation in certification and accreditation. These documents have great significance in deepening China-Denmark cooperation in inspection and quarantine, facilitating healthy development of bilateral economic and trade relations and benefiting the peoples of the two countries.
