Department of Supervision on Food Production takes the responsibility of studying and formulating the provisions and regulations on the supervision and management on domestic food product quality, safety and hygiene during its production and processing, and organizing the implementation of corresponding supervision and administration; organizing the implementation of the food quality and safety market access system such as domestic food production license system and compulsory inspection system, organizing the implementation of food product safety and quality risk assessment and pre-warning during its production and processing, investigating and dealing with serious food safety accidents concerning domestic food production and processing, supervising, urging and guiding the supervision and administration work of local quality technical supervision bodies on food quality safety and hygiene during its production and processing.
