Department of Science and Technology takes the responsibility of studying and formulating science and technology developing program, projects, provisions and regulations and organizing the corresponding implement; organizing and coordinating systematic science research, technology development, technology introduction, new technology popularization, appraisal and examination of scientific and technology fruits; submitting regulations and plans of laboratory construction and annual plan for special fund for scientific research as well as apparatus and equipment, and supervising the implementation of the regulations and plans; administering the apparatus and equipment of systematic technology departments and laboratories; administering geographical indication protection ( including protection of the original region products and indications of regional origin). |
